What kind of bike will they work on? Mine is a little different.
Our tube sets are designed with “American Made” V-Twin bikes in mind. So, our instructions and mounting hardware is geared toward this application. However, our tubes will run on anything with a spark plug. We even have one running on our go carts and a lawn tractor! So, they will run on your bike.
I have a fuel-injected Harley. Will the tubes work on my bike?

Will they decrease the power to my bike? Will they increase it?
Our ignition tubes are not power enhancers. Some people claim they are, that topic is still open for discussion, but one thing is certain: You will not see a power loss with No Magic Neon™ tubes. The tubes have less firing resistance than normal ignition wire does.
How about installation, is it difficult?
Mounting of the tubes so they do not touch or rub on the motor or frame is the only real limit to using them on any bike. No Magic Neon™ does send you quite a bit of mounting equipment. As you can see in what we are sending you, just like our tubes, we use high quality material. Even our mounting hardware is first class. Ex: chrome mounting bolts and chrome wire looms. Most other companies would never send you CHROME BOLTS OR LOOMS! Our competitor uses “PLUMBER'S COLD WATER PIPE STRAP” as his mounting loom! Just another example of No Magic Neon’s™ quality products. What if I want something other than your stock items?
We will do custom work. An example of some of our custom work can be seen here. There is an additional charge for custom work.
Can I bend or reshape them?
These units are real glass! We use 10 mm glass to make our tubes so they are more durable than our competitor’s. But it’s No Magic, if you try to bend glass--IT WILL BREAK!
How long will they last? Do they burn out?
Neon does not burn out like a filament bulb does. These units have an estimated run time of 55,000 hours! We have never known anyone to run their bike long enough to wear them out. But you do the math. Even if you only rode at 10 mph, you would need to go 550,000 miles. Riding at 20 mph, it’s over one million miles!

Some Tips
- DO NOT TRY TO BEND, TWIST, OR OTHERWISE CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THE TUBE. THEY ARE MADE OF GLASS AND IT'S "NO MAGIC" THAT THEY WILL BREAK.
- DO NOT HOLD ANY OTHER PART OF THE TUBE BUT THE END COLLAR ON THE END OF THE TUBE YOU ARE INSTALLING THE WIRE ON. DO NOT TWIST THE TUBE BY THE GLASS OR BY THE FAR END COLLAR AS TUBE FAILURE OR END BREAKAGE WILL OCCUR.
- MAKE SURE THE TUBE DOES NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY PART OF THE BIKE AFTER INSTALLATION. IF THE TUBE RUBS, RESTS ON, OR TOUCHES ANY PART OF THE BIKE, THE OPERATING VIBRATIONS WILL BREAK THE TUBE. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SLIDE YOUR HAND BETWEEN THE TUBE AND THE MOTOR AFTER INSTALLATION. THIS IS THE MINIMUM DISTANCE A TUBE MUST BE FROM ENGINE OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE BIKE.
- THE TUBES MUST BE MOUNTED IN SUCH A WAY THAT ALLOWS FOR THE WIRE TO HAVE SOME TUBE MOVEMENT BEFORE IT WILL CONTACT ANY PART OF THE BIKE. THIS MOVEMENT IS CRITICAL TO ACT AS A VIBRATION DAMPER FOR THE TUBE. WIRES MUST NOT PULL TIGHT ON TUBE ENDS OR TUBE END FAILURE OR GLASS BREAKAGE WILL OCCUR.
- DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRES AFTER THEY ARE INSTALLED ON THE TUBES. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN TUBE END OR GLASS BREAKAGE.
- MAKE SURE THE PLUG WIRE COMES FROM THE SAME COIL SOCKET IT DID WITH THE STOCK WIRES. THIS IS EXTRA CRITICAL ON FUEL INJECTED BIKES. NOTE: ON SOME FUEL INJECTED BIKES NO MAGIC NEON LIGHTS MAY MAKE THE "CHECK ENGINE" WARNING LIGHT COME ON EVEN WHEN ROUTED AND PLUGGED IN PROPERLY. THIS IS A FALSE TRIGGER CAUSED BY THE NEON "BROADCAST' SIGNAL BEING PICKED UP BY THE ION SENSOR. THIS WILL IN NO WAY HARM YOUR BIKE, OR CAUSE ANY OTHER RUNNING PROBLEMS. IT IS NOT A DEFECT IN THE TUBES. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ON EVERY BIKE, BUT IS NOT TO BE UNEXPECTED EITHER.
- USE OF WIRE SPACERS AND WIRE LOOMS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
- INSTALL WIRES ON TUBES BY HOLDING END COLLAR ON END YOU ARE PUTTING WIRE ON AND SPIN THE WIRE NOT THE TUBE. THIS WILL MAKE THE WIRE INSTALLATION MUCH EASIER AND HAVE LESS RISK OF TUBE DAMAGE.
- AFTER THE WIRE HAS BEEN FULLY SCREWED ON ONE END, REPEAT FOR THE OTHER. CHECK THE PHOTO INSTALLATION PAGE ON OUR WEB SITE. YOUR BIKE SHOULD LOOK SIMILAR. (WWW.NOMAGICNEON.COM)
- AFTER INSTALLATION START THE BIKE. MAKE SURE THE TUBE DOES NOT VIBRATE INTO OR TOUCH ANY PART OF THE BIKE WHILE IT IS RUNNING. ADJUST AS NEEDED.
- IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE STARTING THE BIKE, MAKE SURE THE WIRES ARE FULLY INSTALLED ON THE TUBES AND SPARK PLUGS AND COME FROM THEIR ORIGINAL COIL SOCKET LOCATION.
- DO NOT USE A PRESSURE WASHER TO WASH BIKE WITH TUBES INSTALLED. BOTH THE PRESSURE OF THE WATER AND THE JET SLAMMING THE TUBE INTO THE BIKE ARE 2 OF THE MAIN REASONS TUBES GET BROKEN.
- "LUCKY" 13. THESE TUBES ARE GLASS AND IT'S "NO MAGIC" THAT SOMEDAY OR SOMEHOW THEY COULD GET BROKEN WHILE ON YOUR BIKE. (CRASH, HIT IT WITH A TOOL, VANDALISM , OR EVEN GET STOLEN) IF THAT HAPPENS, YOUR BIKE WILL NOT RUN WITH A CRACKED OR OTHERWISE BROKEN OR MISSING TUBE. THEREFORE, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PURCHASE A NO MAGIC NEON™ OH NO! KIT™ IN CASE OF JUST SUCH AN OCCURRENCE-IF NOT A STOCK WIRES WILL DO IN IT'S PLACE. THIS TIP CAN REALLY SAVE THE DAY AND COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU RIDING OR PUSHING YOUR BIKE FOR THE REST OF IT.
